Community Building Conference “HSR in Switzerland: What is the way forward?”
More than 80 researchers participated in the online meeting of the National Research Programme 74 "Smarter Health Care", the Swiss Cancer Research Foundation and the Oncosuisse Forum.
The Community Building Conference “HSR in Switzerland: What is the way forward?” took place on 22 June 2021 with over 80 participants. The aim was to promote knowledge transfer and collaboration between researchers in the field of health care. The participants benefited from the opportunity to get to know each other and to network. This was another important milestone in strengthening the research community in the field of health care.
In addition to group discussions on the perspectives and challenges for health services research in Switzerland, international research was also represented by Prof. Dr. Lenny Verkooijen (Netherlands) and Dr. Dominik Graf von Stillfried (Germany). Prof. Dr. Lenny Verkooijen reported on the integration of health services research into routine oncology care. Dr Dominik Graf von Stillfried spoke about the importance of available data for health services research and presented the situation in Germany.
Lastly, Prof. Milo Puhan, MD, President of NRP 74, announced great news for health services research in Switzerland: Switzerland participates in the European Partnership under Horizon Europe "Transforming Health and Care Systems".
